Directed by Mauro Boscarato

“Quarantena d’autore 2020”, is a project conceived by RSI (Radio Televisione della Svizzera Italiana), television of the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, to encourage musical and visual creation in a delicate period – but paradoxically also fertile for artistic invention and study – which was the pandemic quarantine of spring 2020.

Five great composers of this part of Switzerland (Ivo Antognini, Maria Bonzanigo, Franco Cesarini, Giulio Granati and Nadir Vassena) were asked to create new works for solo instrument, lasting no more than 4 minutes.

The works were then entrusted to young performers from the same region:  the flautist Lia Bardelli, the mezzo-soprano Valentina Londino, the pianist Sarah Murer, the harpist Elisa Netzer and the guitarist Lorenzo Reggiani), who performed and recorded them.

Finally, the sound result was completed by a video created by five directors also from the Italian speaking part of Switzerland: Mauro Boscarato, Fabio De Luca, Lara Donno, Roberta Pedrini and Fabrizio Rosso.
